Chenoa's K9 Club - "A Bark Above The Rest"
Day Care:

Do you worry about your K9 Friend being left at home all day while you work?  Is he/she destructive due to boredom, lack of exercise and mental stimulation??

Perhaps Day Care can help!!

First Day Is Free: (Please Book in Advance)

Monday - Friday: 7am - 7pm

Saturday:  8am - 6pm
(Need earlier drop off or later pick up time on Saturday? ... Talk to us, we will endeavour to accommodate your needs.)

Day Care Includes:
  • Agility
  • Treadmills
  • Outside Walks
  • Water Play
  • Treats
  • Love and Affection

Our facility offers approx 4,000sq ft of indoor doggy play space.  The outdoor play and potty area is approx 1500sq ft, therefore offering lots of space for K9's to run and play with each other or just lay around and soak up some sun.  Dogs will be supervised at all times whether indoors or out.

Internal fencing creates separation where needed, for example, sectioning of the treadmill area from general Day Care.  We also have a separate area for small dogs if you would rather your K9  was not in with the big guys.

'Good manners' will be encouraged during the day so your K9's training will not go astray!!   We will reinforce basic commands such as Sit, Down, Wait and Stay.  If you K9 does not know these commands, we will teach him/her.

Day Care Requirements:
  • Dogs must be non-aggressive toward other dogs and humans.
  • (Reactive dogs can be referred on... Please feel free to discuss any behaviour problems with us).

  • Bookings are necessary so we can ensure a safe dog to human ratio.

  • Dogs must enter and leave the facility on-leash.

  • Dogs must wear a well fitting  collar with an ID tag showing name and/or city license #.  If your K9 is participating in out-side walks and wears a different collar, please bring it along.

  • Dogs must be in good health and if suffering on-going vomiting or diarrhea, must be kept home.  Contagiously ill dogs can not come to Day Care.

  • Vaccinations:   Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required.  DAP or DAPP  plus Bordetella and Rabies (Rabies being required by law).  A  3 year protocol is now  accepted on all vaccines except Bordetella, which is recommended annually.  Titer Testing is also accepted. Proof must be provided.

  • Fleas, Ticks, Lice:  We do not insist on monthly Flea/Tick/Lice prevention treatment being administered.   We do ask that, should you travel to a region of higher risk than Alberta (eg: BC), or your K9 is in regular contact with other dogs outside of Day Care,  you monitor him/her carefully to ensure any infestation is contained.  In the unlikely event of a flea or lice outbreak, all guardians will be notified immediately.  Natural Remedies will be available to replace chemical based preparations if you are interested. Please ask our staff.

Puppies are welcome.
  • Puppies must have received their second round of core vaccinations (DAP or DAPP) plus Bordetella (Kennel Cough).  Rabies vaccination is required by law at approx 16 weeks of age and proof will be required.
  • Puppies over 7 months of age must be altered. (Spayed or Neutered).
  • We will encourage puppy 'good manners and toilet habits' but please be aware that accidents will happen.  Day Care may not necessarily 'toilet train' your puppy.

Day care is not always a 'good fit'  for all dogs.  Chenoa's offers  the First Day Free, during which time your dog can become comfortable with the environment and be integrated  when he/she is calm and comfortable with the surroundings.  Caring staff will monitor your dogs progress and give you a report when you pick him/her up at the end of the day.
