Employment @ Chenoa's K9 Club Ltd
Thank you for your interest in working at Chenoa’s K9 Club Ltd.
We carefully screen potential employees to ensure the high standard of care we provide is maintained at all times and we pride ourselves on having a clean, safe and fun environment. This takes hard work, commitment and a genuine love for dogs.
Reliability: This cannot be stressed enough. The safety of dogs and staff is extremely important. If employee's do not show up, the dog to human ratio is not met and nor is our commitment to our guests and their guardians. Shift times will vary within the hours of 6.45am -8pm. You will need to be available for some weekend work and possibly public holidays as well. You will need to be flexible.
Cleaning: Everyone who works here pitches in and does their share of the 'nasty' chores. We insist on 'accidents' being cleaned up immediately, inside and outside. End of day clean up is physically demanding and no one is exempt, not even the owners.
Activities: We make a commitment to our K9s' guardians, and our staff must ensure this commitment is honoured. You must be organised and ensure that dogs are treadmilled, run through agility courses, outside walked, (even in winter), given medication, fed etc. Just hanging out and playing with the doggies is a part of working here, but your job description far exceeds that. You must be self-motivated, recognise and carry out tasks without supervision. Understanding the concept of "No Touch, No Talk, No Eye Contact" (as encouraged by Cesar Millan) is essential.
Potential Hazards: You must accept that there is a chance that at some point in time, you may be scratched, knocked over, bruised and/or even bitten. This is just another part of working here.
If you are looking for a mentally and physically demanding job and a job that is fun and rewarding, Chenoa's K9 Club could be for you.
:-)
